WOOD COUNTY - Authorities have identified the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed a teenage boy in Wood County last week.
Connie Young, of the Golden Community, is believed to have struck 15-year-old Jacob Burrell when she drove onto the improved shoulder of Highway 69 in Mineola to allow an approaching vehicle from the rear to pass her. Burrell died at a local hospital.
There are no charges to report at this time pending the outcome of this ongoing investigation and presentation of the case to a Grand Jury.
