Convenience store theft suspects formally charged

SULPHUR SPRINGS - The Hopkins County Grand Jury has returned indictments against six women accused of conspiring to steal from the E-Z Mart on Main Street in Sulphur Springs.

The felony charges of engaging in organized criminal activity come against three suspects who were employees of the store, and the other three were friends of the employees. Those indicted were Rosemary Reed, Gabriel Nicole Reed, Jakeia Shanea Clayton, Breanna Chalene Bright, Julie Kay Jones and Angela Marie Winnett.

The alleged theft is believed to have occurred on or around March 1.
