WOOD COUNTY - The Wood County Grand Jury is set to review the case of a deadly hit and run involving a 15-year-old boy when it meets later this month.
State Troopers have turned over the results of its investigation into the death of Jacob Burrell, a student in the Mineola ISD, to the Wood County District Attorney.
Connie Young, of Golden, allegedly hit Burrell on Hwy 69 and fled the scene. She later turned herself in. Authorities had stated that Young had hit Burrell when she drove onto the improved shoulder of Highway 69 to allow an approaching vehicle from the rear to pass her.
