Saari Bond Reduction Denied

A state district judge has denied a bail reduction for a West Tawakoni woman. 22-year-old Erin Elizabeth Saari will be spending her New Year’s Eve in jail. Saari, along with 23-year-old Trevor Scott Copeland, remain in custody at the Hunt County Jail, each charged on one count of injury to a child and each being held in lieu of $1 million bond. A hearing was held Thursday to consider Saari’s bond at the 354^thDistrict Court, after which Judge Richard A. Beacom denied any reduction in Saari’s bond. Saari and Copeland were charged in what authorities claimed was an assault on Saari’s 2-year-old daughter.
