Swanson named Most Worthy Citizen

GREENVILLE- Al Swanson received Greenville’s Most Worthy Citizen for 2011 during the annual Greenville Chamber of Commerce and Board of Development banquet held Thursday.

In an evening highlighted by the story-telling of keynote speaker Eric Nadel, voice of the Texas Rangers, two Greenville manufacturers were also recognized for enhancing the local economy and bringing in new jobs.

Amy Tarpley-Wade, chairman of the Greenville Chamber, presented the Year in Review, as did Chairman Larry Green Jr. of the Board of Development. Green Jr. also presented the Community Investment Award to Atrium Windows and Doors and Weatherford International.

Greenville’s 2010 Worthy Citizen Bill Ralston then presented Al Swanson with the 2011 honor for his years of service to the community.
