One of two suspects admits to railroad tampering

GREENVILLE - A Commerce man has pleaded guilty to causing thousands of dollars in damage to railroad tracks in Hunt County.

Marty Mathew Moorland was alleged to have removed railroad spikes, plates and braces on property belonging to the Blackland Railroad in May 2011. His alleged co-actor, Nona Kay Johnson, of Campbell, is still awaiting trial.

Moorland’s guilty plea Wednesday earned him a five year probation sentence with 200 hours of community service.
