COMMERCE - The Commerce Skatepark Project has scheduled its 3rd Skate Competition and Fundraiser as the organization works toward their goal of building a skate park in town.
With the help of multiple donors, the committee has raised roughly $15,000.
The next competition will take place Saturday, March 31 at City Park. It is open to skateboarders and in-line skaters of all ages. Events include a game of SKATE, High Ollie and Long Ollie. Registration opens at 12 noon and the competition starts at 1:00pm.
There will be lots of prizes for winners of each event, prize drawings, food, drinks and event t-shirts. Live music will be provided by Shaun Michaels, Silent Coup & Jerry Petter. All proceeds go directly to the Skatepark Project.
