GREENVILLE - A Campbell couple is in court this week for the alleged murder of a boy in their care.
Gabriella Ortiz and Arturo Vega Jr. have both pleaded not guilty to the July 2011 death of Brandon Herrera. The two suspects remain in custody each on $2 million bond.
If convicted, they could face the death penalty.
The indictments against Ortiz and Vega indicate that the boy either died of blunt force trauma, choking or strangling, or smothering.
