PARIS - An intoxicated driver is blamed for injuring a passenger and knocking out power to about 2000 customers after wrecking his vehicle in Paris Friday morning.
29-year-old Shane Speaks was arrested for intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury. The passenger complained of leg and back pain and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police say Speaks rolled his 2004 Ford Mustang after losing control and colliding with a utility pole in the 900 block of SE 28th Street. Crocket Middle School had a one hour delay due to the power outage.
