Man convicted of child sexual assault gets lengthy term

GREENVILLE - Quinlan resident Michael Charles Hill has been issued two stacked life sentences for child molestation.

The 41-year-old Hill was convicted last Thursday of sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by contact. Hunt County First Assistant District Attorney Kelly Akin had filed a motion with the court seeking the consecutive sentences, rather than concurrent terms. Hill will have to serve at least 60 years behind bars before eligible for parole.

Prosecutors had introduced evidence during the trial that Hill had been convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child in Dallas County in 2000.
