A&M-Commerce to play host to State Rep. debate

COMMERCE - District 2 State Rep. Dan Flynn and challenger George Alexander take center stage Tuesday evening, May 8 for a candidate debate, presented by the Hunt County African American Leadership Conference and Texas A&M University-Commerce Colony of Phi Iota Alpha.

The public is invited to attend this free event, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Ferguson Social Science Auditorium on the A&M-Commerce campus. It’s also a chance to meet and greet elected officials and other candidates from Hunt, Hopkins and Van Zandt counties.

Rep. Flynn and Alexander will take questions from a media panel consisting of journalists from KETR, The East Texan, Greenville Herald-Banner, KSST and Sulphur Springs News-Telegram. Noah Nelson, distinguished visiting professor at A&M-Commerce, will serve as debate moderator.
