We’ll get a look at the $1 million improvement to the Greenville park on Saturday, Oct. 20.

The City of Greenville received a $500,000 grant from the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife, which included a $500,000 match.

Improvements include fountains, a fishing pier, a nine-hole disc golf course, a walking trail, a dog park and a splash pad – available at the push of a button. The banks of the lake at Graham Park were stabilized as well. Additionally, new and updated playground equipment was installed.

The park has been closed to the public since crews broke ground on the project in late March.

On Saturday, Oct. 20, citizens will be greeted with free hot dogs, music, and guest speakers, among other attractions. Graham Park is located at 800 Walnut Street.
