Hunt County Vote Count Still Not Released

NPR

The final unofficial vote count from Tuesday’s election in Hunt County won’t be released until the end of this week.Hunt County Elections Administrator Mina Cook said Wednesday that approximately 176 provisional ballots still need to be counted. Cook originally believed that the procedure could have been done Wednesday, but the county’s ballot board was unable to meet at that time.

The ballot board is now scheduled to meet on Friday. The board will have to research each one of the ballots to see if it’s going to be accepted or not. The ballot board will meet Friday to open any provisional ballots that will be accepted, and then the final unofficial count will be released, probably by Friday afternoon.
