Threat results in Spring Creek campus closure

Collin College

A phoned-in bomb threat prompted Collin College officials to close the school's Spring Creek campus in Plano on Friday.

Just before 10 a.m., the switchboard of Collin College's Spring Creek Campus in Plano received a call from a man who stated there were multiple bombs throughout the campus.

The college evacuated the entire campus and triggered the its emergency communication system. The campus includes a large main building and a library building. Both were evacuated.

Collin College canceled classes at Spring Creek Campus until 5 p.m. Other campuses are meeting as usual and are open for business.

Police arrived on campus late Friday morning with bomb-sniffing dogs.

Collin College's main campus is in McKinney, with other campuses located in Frisco and Plano. The school also has smaller facility centers in Allen, McKinney, Plano and Rockwall.
