The North Texas Council of Governments will host public meetings for input on the region's transportation plan.

The Regional Tranportation Council of the North Texas Council of Governments will conduct its monthly business meeting at 1 p.m. March 14 in Arlington at the Transportation Council Room at the North Texas Council of Government's offices, located at 616 Six Flags Dr. in Arlington.

In advance of that meeting, there will be three public meetings for community input on the plan, council staff said on Monday.

The meetings will be March 11-13 in Fort Worth, Richardson and Arlington - all with a start time of 6:30 p.m.

Of particular interest to residents of Hunt and Collin counties is the Blacklands Turnpike proposal. The transportation council is unveiling revisions to the regional transportation plan on April 11. The Blacklands Turnpike project's inclusion in the plan is an ongoing issue.

Public meeting schedule:

Mon. March 11: 6:30 p.m., Fort Worth Intermodal Transportation Center, 1001 Jones Street, Fort Worth

Tue. March 12: 6:30 p.m., Richardson Civic Center, 411 W. Arapaho Rd., Richardson

Wed. March 13: 6:30 p.m., North Texas Council of Governments Transportation Council Room, 616 Six Flags Dr., Arlington.
