Applications being accepted for Hopkins County Judge

hopkinscountytx.org

Hopkins County commissioners approved a plan this week to replace County Judge Chris Brown, who will be leaving the top county post in January to take over the Ark-Tex Council of Governments.

Brown had one year left on his county judge term. The plan is for the court to accept applications from interested persons and basically hire a replacement on a one-year contract, with next fall’s election determining a long-term answer.

Interested persons should submit a resume and cover letter for the current term for county judge, which is expected to be Jan 2nd – Dec 31st 2014.

Letters and Resumes are due by 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19 and can be submitted to: Hopkins County Judge, 118 Church St., Sulphur Springs, TX  75482
