Windy day expected for region, fire risk increases

All of North Texas is currently under a Wind Advisory until 6 p.m. Friday evening.

Wind gusts as high as 35 mph are possible as a cool front moves through the region. Don't expect temperatures to drop much. We could be seeing 73 degree temperatures by Monday.

With windy conditions, an elevated fire risk is possible for the western portion of North Texas, where humidity levels will fall below 30 percent, making for drier air conditions.

Daniel was born and raised in Commerce, TX, and has been a life-long listener of 88.9 KETR. After listening to ‘The Art of Sound’ with Mark Chapman as a child, he enjoyed the thought of being able to broadcast across NE Texas. He is now a Radio/Television student at Texas A&M University-Commerce and hopes to continue his work in radio after he graduates. He has been heard in the past as the host of ‘All Things Considered’, ‘Movie Picks with Alice Reese’ and ‘The Morning Bell’.
