The former treasurer of the Savoy Athletic Booster Club is facing charges of theft and embezzlement.
KXII-TV reported that Linda Berube, 45, was arrested on July 11 and charged with one count of theft of $1,500 to $20,000 and three counts of forgery of a financial instrument.

Savoy Police Chief Kevin Cheairs told KXII that the charges refer to events alleged to have occurred between June 2012 and May 2014.
Berube was booked into the Fannin County jail on July 11 and released later that day on a $4,000 bond.
