Cooper Independent School District students and employees will be making up the four days due to recent snow days on Friday, April 3, Monday, May 4, Monday and Tuesday June 1 and June 2, 2015. The decision was passed unanimously during Monday night’s regular school board meeting 4-0.

The Board also accepted the notice of election for May 9, 2015 with polling places of City Hall in Cooper, Enloe Community Center, Klondike Community Center, Ben Franklin Community Center and East Delta Community Center (with an election judge still needed for Ben Franklin). Early voting can be done at the CISD central administration office at 350 West McKinney in Cooper from April 27-May 5, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During executive session the Board reviewed 12-month contracts (2015-2016) for administrators Keith Cook, Richard Roan, Dr. Cathy Severns, Doug Wicks and Ronnie Green.

The Board also approved Head Start program refunding grant.

Director of School Operations Doug Wicks provided the Trustees with two bids for a metal gutter project to begin this summer and a bid from Smallwood and Archer of Paris of just over $130,000 was accepted.

The Board will meet again on Monday, April 20 at 6 p.m.
