The noon siren sounded, clouds parted, and Delta County came together to gather on the Delta County Courthouse steps for National Day of Prayer, May 7, 2015.

Pacio Baptist Church Pastor Eugene Adams led the prayer meeting accompanied by Bro. Michael Stone – Pastor of the United Pentecostal Church of Cooper, Bro. Brent Bolton – Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church of Cooper, Bro. Ricky Richardson – Pastor of the Assembly of God Church of Cooper, Bryce Jester – Lay Pastor of Crimson River Cowboy Church of Cooper, Bro. Larry Maynard – Pastor of New Life Baptist Church of Cooper.

There was appreciation expressed for allowing the meeting on the steps of the Courthouse and to the Nation, Nation’s Military, the State, County, City and Churches. Those in attendance came together in prayer and for the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States Flag and singing of the National Anthem.

Pastor Adams kneeled in a final prayer in the same way the founding fathers have done in value of the power of prayer to an almighty and sovereign God.
