A Delta County New Year’s Eve party ended abruptly before the ball dropped. A Hispanic male driving a red pick took to the highway in Klondike and was “considered armed and dangerous.”
Law enforcement was quick to response with multiple units not only from Delta County but also Hunt County and Wolfe City Police Department as they were informed the shooting suspect was likely “headed to the Goat Farms.”
“We believed him to be intoxicated,” said Delta County Chief Deputy Charla Singleton on the incident.
Fortunately law enforcement was able to make contact with the suspect at a residence. Rene Ramirez Garcia was taken into custody, charged with deadly conduct and is in jail.
