The location of the new mural the Delta County Economic Development Corporation will be helping to have painted.

The Delta County Economic Development Corporation is asking all County residents to submit their ideas for a mural that is to be painted on the north side of the Masonic Lodge #1240 building on Dallas Avenue in Cooper.

The DCEDC has arranged to lease the area from First National Bank for a Cooper Community Park. Trees were recently planted by the 4-H participants. Plans for the installation of picnic tables for the residents and visitors of Delta County to enjoy are in the future of the "mini park."  The Lodge has agreed to allow the DCEDC to create and paint a mural that depicts a wide range of what Delta County has to offer.

Credit will be given to the winning designer.

Entries will be evaluated by the DCEDC on March 7, and winner(s) will be notified following the deadline. Please include artist’s name, address and phone number on the submission. Mail to P.O. Box 207, Cooper, TX or drop off at the Delta County Chamber of Commerce office on the West Side of the Square or the Modern Woodman Office on Dallas Avenue, before March 7, 2016.  These proposals will be used to develop the final design for the wall.
