Hunt County Historical Commission chairman Carol Taylor recently wrote an article on her blog about her great, great grandmother Emiline Seay, who ran a large ranch in Montague County near Wichita Falls after her husband, A.M. Seay died. Carol recently attended a regional historical conference on women ranchers in Texas. She says Missouri Caroline Wall Horton ran a ranch in what is now the Artis Heights area on the northeast side of Greenville.
