'Fate of the Furious:' A Travelogue At 100 MPH

fastandfurious.com

Alice Reese, the Herald-Banner movie critic, says "The Fate of the Furious" (the eighth film of the "Fast and the Furious" franchise) includes beautiful scenes from around the world, including a race filmed in Cuba, only recently opened to U.S. movie makers and other business interests.  Alice says Dame Helen Mirren, a racing fan in real life, steals the film with her role. "Going In Style," released last week, is more Alice's style.  She enjoyed Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Alan Arkin in the remake of the 1979 original.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
