Nineteen animals said to be kept in dire conditions were seized from a property in Hunt County Wednesday.
Nine pitbulls and 10 chickens were taken by the Hunt County Precinct 1 Constable’ Office, the Hunt County Sheriff’s, and SPCA of Texas. The property is on the 10000 block of County Road 2450, near the town of Poetry.
SPCA spokeswoman Maura Davies said charges for animal cruelty are pending.
