Commerce Attracts Body Shop, Storage Shed Manufacturer, Tree Farm

Commerce Chamber of Commerce member Mohawk Industries is hosting a job fair June 22. Russell's Fish and Shrimp is a new addition to the local Chamber.

Commerce Chamber of Commerce manager Paul Voss says the city is gaining several new businesses: the Interstate Body Shop, on Highway 224, which will also include an Enterprise car rental franchise; the Sand Knop Tree Farm, near the Hydro Aluminum plant east of FM 3218; and a new storage shed manufacturing plant on Highway 11 east of town.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
