New Delta County Chamber Board Directors Announced
The Delta County Chamber of Commerce recently voted in the newest additions to the Chamber Board of Directors: Melissa Johnson, LeeAnne Marchand, Janet Currin, Cayson Spinks, Les Harris, and Kimber Black. The Chamber is very excited for the future of the community.
They will be joining current members Mayor Darren Braddy, Brenda Stewart, Jalan Mayes, Carol Petty, Devone and Keith Morris, Justin Anderton, and Richelle Johnson. Trunk o’ Treat on Halloween, October 31, 2018 is the next big holiday event. Kimber Black will be chairing this event. As the owner of Black Ranches, Prairie Blossom Kennels and Pumpkin Patch, she is very enthusiastic about this event and is looking for volunteers.
“I am over the moon excited to be the new mastermind behind this event,” said Kimber Black. Many of the Board members enjoy participating in Halloween so be looking for more Spooktacular surprises and costumes this year. Weather-permitting the Trunk o’ Treat begins at 6 p.m. on the Square in Cooper.
In other business: At the June meeting the 2019 Chamber Banquet was discussed. This year’s theme will be an Evening Luau and held at event venue, Charleston Sky. All tickets will be sold in advance and only at the Delta County Chamber of Commerce office, located at 41 West Side Square. Tickets are already selling quickly after the wonderful success and grand opening at the 2018 Banquet. No tickets will be sold at the door as the venue has a maximum capacity of 250 people, and all tickets will be numbered. Annual community awards will be presented.
