Our wellness commentator, Velvete Womack, discusses the effects of allergies, which will likely be more prevalent as fall arrives. But smoke drifting from the California wildfires have caused considerable allergy trouble in Northeast Texas in recent days.  A Mayo Clinic article says, "Allergies occur when your immune system makes antibodies that identify a particular allergen as harmful, even though it isn't."  Velvete says nasal sprays or netipot may be helpful in fighting the effects of allergies.
