New Developments in Child Safety Cases in Kaufman, Collin Counties

Police in Kaufman County charged a man living in the home where a foster infant was found dead last weekend with possession of child pornography.

Meanwhile a jailed former daycare worker in Collin County faces new charges of hurting children in her care.

Nineteen-year-old Christian Richmond was arrested Thursday in Forney. Richmond lived in the home where a 5-month-old girl was found unresponsive last Saturday. Four other foster children living in the home were taken out after the death. Police say the child porn charges against Richmond are not related to the death.

In Collin County, a McKinney daycare worker charged last month with severely injuring an infant boy is facing a string of new accusations of harming other children.

several children. She was charged in December after police say she broke the ribs and leg of a 2-month-old boy. She now faces eight new counts for her alleged behavior against other children at the center.
