Greenville Citywide Clean-up Is Saturday; African-American Exhibit At Museum

KETR

Pud Kearns with Housewarmers of Greenville comments on Saturday's quarterly citywide cleanup project in Greenville.  Greenville citizens may bring many large items to the Fletcher Warren Civic Center to be disposed of, not including air conditioners and refrigerators, batteries and chemicals.  Pud also says the Audie Murphy-American Cotton Museum has a new exhibit, "The African-American Experience in Hunt County," which includes video interviews and artifacts.  The exhibit is open through April 24. At least some of the videos are available on YouTube.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
