Commerce Mayor Wyman Williams says the City Council this week approved eight housing construction projects as part of the Neighborhood Empowerment Zone program, which provides incentives for projects in areas east of Park Street. The council also heard a proposal for an agreement with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Commerce to operate the youth sports leagues in Commerce.
