  • In Paris, local officials have identified the man who died in an accident with a city vehicle last week. • In Greenville, the city council is inviting public comment on the city’s limited purpose annexation of land west of the city. The purpose of the annexation would be to provide utility services to and levy taxes on a large, mostly industrial development proposed for the western outskirts of the city. Referred to as the Walton Development, the project would include about 6,700 acres and would feature a rail station for the Kansas City Southern line, as well as storage and distribution facilities. The next regular meeting of the Greenville City Council is scheduled for 6 p.m. tomorrow evening at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center.
