The City of Commerce, like many cities in Northeast Texas, has some old roads in need of repair. City Manager Howdy Lisenbee and his office are looking at how a dedicated fund for street maintenance could work.

In the latest North By Northeast program, City Manager Howdy Lisenbee and host Mark Haslett discuss specifics of what a dedicated fund for street maintenance might look like. Such a fund could have user fees as its primary revenue stream. But how could fees for street use be assessed equitably?

The next Commerce City Council meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., Tue. June 21.
