The weekly public affairs program can be heard at 6 a.m. Sundays.

If you’re sometimes awake enough to enjoy a radio program about art, culture, and current events at 6 a.m. on a Sunday, then KETR has a show for you.

The New Yorker Radio Hour is a weekly program presented by the magazine's editor, David Remnick, and produced by WNYC Studios and The New Yorker. Each episode features a diverse mix of interviews, profiles, storytelling, and an occasional burst of humor inspired by the magazine, and shaped by its writers, artists, and editors. This isn't a radio version of a magazine, but something all its own, reflecting the rich possibilities of audio storytelling and conversation.

This summer’s shows have included a discussion with alt-country artist Jason Isbell about staying creative while getting sober, a look at the new podcast produced by actor Alan Alda, and a study of the rise of politicians Ron DeSantis of Florida and Viktor Obran of Hungary. The program has been on the air since 2015 and can be heard on more than 270 stations.

The former resident of the 6 a.m. space on KETR’s program schedule, Millennium of Music, now can be heard in the 9 a.m. hour, replacing the program On Being, which has gone out of broadcast production and is now a podcast.
