  • In Greenville, the Herald Banner reports that Paris Junior College might partner with the city to buold a new fire department training and administrative center. Paris Junior College has campuses in Sulphur Springs and in Greenville. • As reported earlier this hour, Texas State Rep. Bryan Slaton is under pressure from fellow Republicans following a complaint filed by an intern. GOP state Reps Briscoe Cain and Steve Toth are both calling on Slaton to resign. Both lawmakers called Slaton's behavior predatory. The Texas Tribune first reported allegations that Slaton emailed his intern late at night, and drank alcohol with her in his Austin condo. The intern was under 21 and Slaton is married. Slaton has hired Rockwall attorney Patrick Short. On Monday, a statement from Short’s office called the complaint outrageous and false.
