Commerce ISD Superintendent Charlie Alderman and school board member Kathleen Hooten discuss the bond election scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 2. It includes two propositions: Proposition A, $62.5 million for a new Commerce Middle School; agriculture facility; artificial turf for the Commerce High School baseball and softball fields; and new parking and concessions facilities for the baseball and softball fields. Proposition B, $5.5 million for a multi-purpose facility, which would include a covered artificial-turf field for football and band practice, and community events. Alderman says the tax impact on a $100,000 home would be $9.44 per month.
