Commerce ISD Teachers, Staff Receive $1,000 Holiday Stipend

Commerce ISD Superintendent Charlie Alderman says all CISD teachers and staff received $1,000 holiday stipends from federal money designated to help cope with the coronavirus pandemic. The superintendent also says long-time CISD employees Joe Venable, CISD police chief, and Ladonna Smithers, director of personnel and communications, have retired.
