Steve Killian, superintendent of Cooper Lake State Park, invites everyone to start the New Year by enjoying the outdoors on a "First Day Hike" at the park on New Year's Day (Saturday, Jan. 1). The hikes will be at 10 a.m. at the South Sulphur Unit and 2 p.m. at the Doctor's Creek Unit.
