2022 A&M-C Football Schedule Released; SFA On '23 And '24 Schedule

Texas A&M-Commerce Athletic Director discusses the 2022 football schedule, the Lions' first as a member of the Southland Conference, the FCS and NCAA Division 1. The Lions open at home Thursday night, Sept. 1 vs. NCAA Division 2 opponent Lincoln University of California. They play Division 1 opponent and long-time Lone Star Conference rival Sam Houston at Huntsville on Saturday, Sept. 19. Tim says conversations with former A&M-Commerce athletic director Ryan Ivey have led to a two-game series with Stephen F. Austin, at Nacogdoches in 2023 and at Commerce in 2024. The Lumberjacks are coached by Colby Carthel, who led the Lions to the NCAA Division II national championship in 2017.
