Trina Coldiron, community liaison with the Senior Center Resources and Public Transportation organization (SCRPT) in Greenville, says SCRPT can help provide, with other organizations, fans, air conditioners and help with electric bills for Hunt County senior citizens.

Trina cautions senior citizens and their children and grandchildren about online and telephone scams. She says currently Hunt County senior citizens are being targeted by solar-panel scams. She says she's been told of about five such cases in the past month, and one of the scams amounted to about $75,000.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
