Emerging from Austin is a talented group of relatives who have been performing together to smaller audiences for years, but are now being discovered by music fans thanks to their classic country and Americana album At The Cold Copper Ranch. Inspired by the family's time spent at the real Cold Copper Longhorn Ranch in Burnet County, the western style songs get the entire Family Shiloh involved (whose name is actually the Penningtons). Progenitors Colby and Kimberly Pennington visited with Notably Texan's Matt Meinke to discuss the band's origins, what led them to Cold Copper Ranch, life as a touring family band, and more. (Originally aired October 12 on KETR)

You can stream cuts from the Cold Copper Ranch album at the group's Bandcamp Page.

Listen to Notably Texan, weekdays from 11am-2pm on KETR.
