Senior setter Jordan Neal added to her list of accolades Tuesday by being named to the Daktronics South-Central Second Team for the 2013 season. This comes on the heels of Neal being named the LSC Setter of the Year and earning First Team All-LSC Honors. Neal is one of five other LSC players to be named to the first or second team.

The 2013 season saw Neal lead the LSC in assists (1,459) and assists per set (11.77). The Joshua, Texas native was also named the LSC Co-Setter of the Week five times during the regular season. Neal was third on the Lions in digs with 338, fourth in service aces with 26 and accounted for the fourth most points with 142.5 on the season.

Neal also became the Lions all-time leader in assists, passing Melissa Staiger's record of 3,843 and became the first Lions to reach 4,000 assists for a career (4,503). Neal became just the fifth Lion volleyball player to record at least 1,000 in two categories with her 4,503 assists and 1,043 digs in her career. The 1,043 digs leaves Neal eighth on the career digs list and just one dig away from seventh.  In addition to her assist and dig marks, Neal also ranks third in service aces in a career with 133.

Joining Neal on the second team was Shelby Wilt of Angelo State, Marcela Alves of Texas Woman's and Lauren Bevan of West Texas A&M. Earning first team honors from LSC schools were; Laura Iwuchukwu and Halie Harton of West Texas A&M and Maddie Huth of Angelo State. The teams are voted on by the Sports Information Directors from the regional schools.
