The Lone Star Conference indoor men's All-Academic team was announced today, naming three members of head coach Tom Dibbern's Texas A&M University-Commerce squad among the eleven in the conference to receive the honor.
Junior distance athlete Dorian McCradic is the only Lion to recapitulate the commendation, having claimed All-Academic honors previously in his sophomore year. At the MSSU Lion Open, McCradic was a member of the distance medley team which earned a provisional qualifier with an adjusted time of 10:06.71. The junior is sixth in conference in the 5000 meter run, seventh in the conference in the 3000 meter run with a personal best time of 8:49.08, and ninth in the conference in the one mile run. McCradic sports a 3.91 GPA, and is majoring in biological science.
Sprinter Dexter Lee cracked the All-Academic team for the first time in his career. The sophomore has the best time in the conference in the 400 meter run with a provisional qualifying time of 48.42 seconds. He's also ranked second in the conference in the 200 meter run, and was a part of the provisional qualifying 4x400 meter relay team that logged a time of 3:14.88, the best in the LSC.
