Dallas Wings Stunned by Seattle Storm at Home (Slideshow)

The Dallas Wings (6-6) fell to the Seattle Storm (10-4) at home Sunday, 97-76.

Dallas hoped for back-to-back wins against the Storm, but fell on the wrong side of a 22-0 run in the 4th quarter. Liz Cambage lead the Wings with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Skylar Diggins-Smith has been held to just 10 points or less in her last two games. She had 6 points on Friday and 10 points Sunday, shooting 4-for-11 from the field.

“It was how it ended up, it’s going with the flow with a few things,” Dallas head coach Fred Williams said on starters heavy minutes. “I try to find a different combination of players to try and give us that little boost and kinda substitute the starters on that one stretch as we were making a move and coming back. So, we gotta kinda shorten up the rotation a little bit to eight players, maybe nine.”

The Storm had two players post double-doubles, Sue Bird had 10 points and 10 assists. Breanna Stewart lead with a game-high 28 points and 12 rebounds.

Dallas heads out for a 2 game road trip, starting with an opponent they upset Friday, the LA Sparks (10-3).
