Hunt County – A ban on outdoor burning remains in place for this week in Hunt County. Hunt County Fire Marshal Dorsey Driggers said the ban that prohibits most out door burning will stay in place despite weekend's rains, but may be lifted later this week. Driggers said the rains over the weekend did not warrant lifting the ban unless such weather continues.
A slight chance exists of rain later in the week, and if the area sees more rain, a possible emergency session of the Hunt County Commissioner's Court could be called to consider lifting the burn ban.
