City to learn of possible missing monies

By Scott Harvey

Commerce – The Commerce City Council is to review findings of a recent investigation of possible monies owed to the City when it meets Tuesday evening.

Documents concerning the possible missing funds were presented during last month's city council meeting, after which City Attorney Jim McLeroy was directed to investigate the matter.

The documents suggest as much as $30,000 may still be owed by Mayor Quay Throgmorton who, back in 2005, entered into an agreement with the City concerning a proposed development site along Rosemound St.

Tuesday's agenda calls for Council to address the item in open session, after which they'll adjourn into executive session to discuss the same item, as well as pending litigation regarding the same.

Tuesday's meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Commerce City Hall, 1119 Alamo St.
