Commerce – The Commerce City Council takes no action on the pending litigation against its Mayor, who is being sued for repayment of funds in relation to a 2005 development project.

Council met in executive session Tuesday night to discuss the matter.

On January 11, City Attorney Jim McLeroy filed a lawsuit against Mayor Quay Throgmorton and his wife, Paige, regarding a reimbursement agreement in excess of $55,000 for the Rosemound Addition project.

According to McLeroy, the defendants have until early February to file an answer with the court stating their defense to the plaintiff's claims.
