Museum LBS Presents: Bob LaPrelle

Museum LBS Presents: Bob LaPrelle

Join us for a program by Bob LaPrelle. He is a 30yr veteran in the field of historic railway preservation and museums. He has served as the Executive Director of the Museum of the American Railroad since 1988. Mr. LaPrelle places an emphasis on the cultural history and technology aspects of railroad museums and their role in communities as an educational resource and tourism destination. He recently led the successful effort to move the Museum to a significantly larger venue in Frisco to expand the collections and serve a broader audience. He is currently managing construction of the Museum's new facilities, including 12,000 ft of exhibit tracks, a covered pavilion for rolling stock and permanent exhibit buildings. Admission to the program is free for museum members; otherwise there will be a $5 general admission to the program. For additional information contact the Museum at (903) 450-4502
