A bird here, a bird there; winter has come, and the winter birds are everywhere.
** If you miss the 9 a.m. meeting at Doctors Creek, similar event will also be held at the South Sulphur Unit of Cooper Lake State Park, starting at 1 p.m. **
Meet at the South Loop Trailhead at 9 a.m. next to the Pelican Point Day Use Area. We’ll go on a walk around the shoreline, a pocket prairie, and a day-use area while looking for varied birds.
Bring your binoculars and dress for the weather.
Cost: Park programs are open to the public and free with a park entrance fee of $5 per person ages 13 and up; children 12 and under are always free! Park entry is free with the Texas State Park Pass. No need to register—just show up!
