Time, motorcade route announced for return of fallen soldier

GREENVILLE - 23-year-old Tanner Higgins, of Yantis, was killed in Afghanistan last weekend. On Monday, his body will arrive at Greenville’s Majors Field at 11 a.m., with a motorcade to follow.

Higgins’ family has requested that those who desire to pay their respects line the roadway along FM 1570/Jack Finney Boulevard between the airport and Highway 69/Interstate 30.

After leaving the airport, the motorcade will proceed north on FM 1570/Jack Finney Blvd. to Business Hwy. 69, then west to Interstate 30, where it will continue east bound.

Sgt. Higgins was assigned to Company D, 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment – Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia, and was serving his country in Afghanistan at the time of his death.

Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro, Texas, is handling the funeral arrangements.
